Rennie Team Tuesday: Gloria Chow
Meet Gloria Chow, Rennie & Associates Advisor
Why do you work with Rennie?
As any Vancouverite will tell you, the Rennie brand is hip, contemporary and tremendously successful. I also deeply respect Bob Rennie’s commitment to affordable housing and community, and admire how he has addressed these vital issues head-on. And, of course, working in an office steps away from the Rennie Collection, with a daily reminder that “Everything Is Going To Be Alright”, are pretty nice incentives to join the brokerage!
What makes you passionate about real estate?
The housing market in Vancouver is fascinating because it arouses so much debate and emotions! Without a doubt, the real estate landscape is transforming at an exponential rate, and I am excited to see how it evolves in the next 10, 20 years. I am also a firm believer that purchasing a property is always a good decision – whether as a family home to create lasting memories, or as an investment to grow one’s wealth.
What do you value most in your friends?
Loyalty and fun-loving. I had a close knit of girlfriends while growing up on the North Shore. We had a boatload of fun in our high school and university days, generating an assortment of embarrassing photos. Thankfully , Facebook did not exist back then! Although our lives are busier (and calmer) these days, we still meet regularly to check in, catch up and reminisce about the good old days.
What do you most value in your colleagues?
Ambition / drive. I am currently a member of Team John Tsai PREC*, and my hubby has had to do all the cooking/cleaning/laundry ever since I started working with John! All joking aside, being part of John’s team has been an incredible experience – his focus and determination have pushed me to work harder, longer and smarter. It has been extremely satisfying to see what we have already accomplished thus far for our clients.
What has been the most significant change that you’ve noticed in Vancouver within the last few years when it comes to real estate?
A dwindling supply and the necessity for more densely developed, more creative housing solutions.
Name one or two of your favorite gems.
Brush Dental Clinic (where my hubby works) and St. Paul’s Hospital (where my sister works) – best places to get dental/medical care in the city!
Why do you love living in Vancouver?
It’s my home 🙂 But seriously, having the ability to cruise on the water or hike up on the mountains, who wouldn’t want to live in such a beautiful place?
Tell us about your everyday essentials.
