Personal Driver

Join one of Vancouver’s best brands! We are looking for a highly personable and service-oriented individual to join our Personal Resource team. The right candidate is passionate about service, understands the importance of confidentiality, and is an excellent driver.  The Personal Driver will work closely with the Director of Operations and Executive Assistant in the administration and coordination of one assigned Senior Executive’s daily personal transportation, pick-up and drop off of anything and everything: clients, family, documents, gifts, etc.

Reporting to the Executive Assistant (EA), position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensures the smooth and seamless operation of Senior Executive’s transportation requirements for daily activities, deliveries, and meetings
  • Builds a personal rapport with Senior Executive in order to identify their needs and expectations
  • Maintains a constant presence with the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to any requests
  • Communicates with EA and Director of Operations to ensure efficient daily operation
  • Meet with EA at the beginning and end of day to review any changes to schedule
  • Review and familiarize weekly schedule in preparation for daily activities, details, and anticipate any challenges
  • Assist with any last-minute situations or changes with EA throughout the day – be actively in communication, and always accessible via phone
  • Anticipate and resolve any problems quickly and communicate with appropriate departments
  • Inspect car prior to start of the day to ensure gas is full, interior is in appropriate condition, tire pressure, and all is in working condition
  • Plan for servicing/vehicle maintenance during periods in which Senior Executive is out of town to ensure no downtime
  • Attend all applicable operational and communications meetings with Personal Resource Team
  • Coordinate all received and transported materials – ensure all materials are delivered to their specified location and/or addressee
  • Assist EA with other duties as required (i.e. scheduling, reservations, deliveries, pick-ups etc.)

 Desired Skills / Experience:

  • Love working in a personal service capacity
  • Be energized by a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Have a minimum three (3) years working experience in a service industry or related field
  • Hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License for a minimum of five (5) years
  • Ability to drive a full-size sedan or SUV vehicle
  • Be flexible, resourceful, and intuitive, being one step ahead to ensure smooth daily schedule of events
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google / iCloud Mail and Calendar, and iPhone technology (text, email, apps)
  • Strong geographic knowledge of Downtown Vancouver and Lower Mainland
  • Comfortable driving / sitting for long periods of time
